ROTA-KIWAN'S EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Please welcome Patrick Murphy to the position of Rota-Kiwan Executive Director of the Southwest Michigan Council.
Patrick will provide leadership to fulfill the Rota-Kiwan Master Plan.
Graduating with his Bachelor’s Degree in Religion from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI, Patrick began his professional employment as a minister in 1997 in his hometown of Battle Creek. Upon completion of his Master of Divinity, he moved to the Upper Peninsula where he was senior pastor for the Marquette & Munising churches, while piloting the summer program at Camp Sagola in Sagola, MI. Most recently, Patrick served as the associate pastor for Campus Ministries at Pioneer Memorial Church, on the campus of his alma mater, Andrews University. In assisting churches from 50-3000 members, Patrick has focused primarily on motivating, mentoring, and mobilizing young people and adults to serve one another and their communities.
Patrick is ecstatic about following in the footsteps of his father, who devoted more than 30 years to Scouting, while he continues leading and innovating camp programming and development.
With 8 years of first-hand knowledge and leadership with camp, Patrick is passionate about seeing the lives of young people positively impacted by their camp experience.
Led by a dynamic and engaged staff, Patrick believes the skills gained by a young person at camp are integral to radically impacting the local community and world.
