  • Two fully stocked Scout Shops with uniforms, literature, program supplies and achievement materials.
  • Two Scout Service Centers with full time professional staffs and support teams to assist with registration, advancement support, and program consultation.
  • Provide an excellent camp facility in Rota-Kiwan Scout Reservation for year round use to Scouts, leaders and families.
  • 15 new Scouting programs were started in low density-underserved communities.
  • Provide camp scholarships and other assistance to Scouts in need.

Contribute

There are many ways to contribute to Scouting, including being a volunteer. Here are some ways to support Scouting financially:

Events

Have fun and support Scouting at the same time. The Southwest Michigan Council hosts a a variety of fundraising events throughout the year including breadfasts, golf tournaments, and a wine tasting. This is a great way to introduce people you know to the impact Scouting makes on youth.

In 2012 we will be hosting our first ever "Over the Edge" rappelling event in Battle Creek Mi. This fundraiser hosted by the Southwest Michigan Council gives individuals the opportunity to rappel down the McCamly Plaza Hotel. Click here for more information.

Popcorn Fundraiser

Scouting means doing. To help packs, troops, and crews raise the necessary funds, Scouting encourages units and individuals to participate in the annual popcorn sale. This helps teach members the principle of paying their own way while also supporting council operations.

Endowment

Support Scouting forever! Gifts to endowment funds generate investment interest to continue supporting Scouting forever. Consider an endowment gift in your will or as a recognition for an acheivement.
